Hebbal bypoll outcome will impact state's polity: DV Sadananda Gowda
Bengaluru: Launching the BJP's campaign against the ruling Congress, Union Law and Justice Minister, D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Sunday declared that the outcome of the Hebbal by-election will have far reaching consequences on the state polity.
Speaking at the launch at Dollars Colony here, Mr Gowda said, “Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah has proved that he is most inefficient in handling the state administration more than dozen times in the last two and a half years. The state government under a person who has presented nearly a dozen state budgets, does not have any control over the administration.”
Appealing to voters, Mr Gowda, who was his usual smiling self, invoked Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to woo voters.
“Bharatiya Janata Party is led by a decisive leader like Mr Modi, who knows to deliver on promises, whereas in Karnataka, Mr Siddarmaiah does not know how to control the administration,” he remarked.
The former Chief Minister enthusiastically took part in street cricket, approaching a group of youngsters who were playing the game in a small ground,
Mr Gowda asked if he could be part of their team? Youngsters of the area handed him a bat and he batted for an over. During the game, he requested youngsters to vote in favour of the BJP in the forthcoming by-election.
Meanwhile, Congress leader and former Central Silk Board chairman, Bise Giowda joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union minister, Sadananda Gowda. While welcoming him into the party fold, Mr Gowda said, “We have received much needed strength to ensure a party victory in the by-elections.”
