Policeman Killed in Terror Attack in J&K's Anantnag
Suspected terrorists opened fire on a police party in Anantnag, while an Army rifleman died after falling from a height near the Line of Control in Rajouri.

A policeman was killed in an attack by terrorists in Anantnag town of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said here.The firing took place around 12.30 pm on Wednesday at Lal Chowk in Anantnag.
They said one head constable, Ashiq Hussain, posted on Amarnath yatra security duty was injured in the attack and rushed to the Government Medical College hospital at Anantnag.
Hussain was declared dead on arrival by the doctors, the officials said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to track down the assailants, they said.
The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow outfit of Lashkar-e-Toiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post.
In a separate incident, Rifleman Sukhpreet Singh (27) died after accidentally slipping from a height while on official duty at the forward Mahadev post in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district.
Officials said Singh lost his balance and fell from a height, sustaining fatal injuries. His body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem, and police have initiated inquest proceedings. The body will be taken to his hometown in Punjab for the last rites.
Security agencies are continuing the search operation in Anantnag, while further details on the terror attack are awaited.
