Police-HCA Officials Review Security for Upcoming India-England Test

Hyderabad: With the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal getting geared up to host the first India and England Test from January 25 to 29, Rachakonda police commissioner Sudhir Babu and other key officials, including DCP Malkajgiri Padmaja, held a crucial security review meeting with representatives of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) here on Wednesday.

Sudhir Babu stressed on putting in place strong security measures and directed officials to focus on the comfort of spectators while also staying vigilant.

HCA officials were urged to simplify the ticket distribution process and to maintain reasonable prices for refreshments inside the stadium. They were also told to be cautious while issuing passes for the five-day match.

Apart from CCTV cameras around the stadium, there was a call to provide hassle-free parking arrangements. Meanwhile, strict warnings were issued to those involved in sale of fake and duplicate tickets.
