PM Modi To Visit Baramati On Nov. 3

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Baramati in Maharashtra on November 3 to inaugurate the ‘Prerna Sthal’ developed on the Vidya Pratishthan campus, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Saturday. Mr Pawar said the Prime Minister’s Office has informed him about the revised schedule. Mr Modi is expected to arrive at the Baramati airport at around 10 am and proceed to Vidya Pratishthan. The Prime Minister is also expected to inspect the institute’s artificial intelligence centre and interact with students working on AI projects and startups.

According to NCP (SP) founder, the Prerna Sthal houses a four-tonne statue of Gautam Buddha. Information on the Buddha’s hand gesture and its significance has also been displayed at the site. The complex features paintings of prominent personalities associated with Maharashtra, including Rajmata jijau, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Ahilyadevi Holkar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Sayajirao Gaekwad, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, Annabhau Sathe and Yashwantrao Chavan among others.
Mr Pawar said invitations had been extended to Governor of Maharashtra, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule and other prominent personalities. Microsoft’s chief has accepted the invitation, he said. Invitations have also been extended to Serum Institute chairman Cyrus Poonawalla, Baba Kalyani, Vijay Shirke and Anil Kakodkar, among others.
During the visit, Mr Modi is also expected to inspect the artificial intelligence (AI) institute established at Vidya Pratishthan and interact with students working on AI-related projects and startups. The Prime Minister is expected to leave for his next engagement at around 12.10 pm, officials said.
