Modi Sees Double Engine Kerala Govt
Thiruvananthapuram Mayor V V Rajesh presented PM Modi with symbolic gifts and discussed the city's development challenges, highlighting the need for support in upcoming Delhi meetings for growth by 2030.

Thiruvananthapuram: Appealing to the people of Kerala to install a “double-engine government” in the upcoming Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said such a mandate was needed to free the State from what he described as the “loot” of the CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF).
Addressing party workers in Thiruvananthapuram to mark the BJP’s victory in the Corporation polls, Modi said the time had come for “big decisions” to realise the vision of Viksit Keralam.
Speaking at Madurantakam near Chennai, he said the people of Tamil Nadu had decided to bid farewell to what he termed the “Corrupt, Mafia and Crime (CMC)” DMK government in the forthcoming Assembly elections, as he formally kick-started the NDA’s campaign in the state.
Addressing a massive public meeting in Chengalpattu district, he expressed confidence that a BJP-NDA government would be formed. “The countdown for the DMK government has begun. I can see it clearly,” he said.
In Kerala, the Prime Minister cautioned people against the Congress, alleging that it lacked a development agenda.
