India on Thursday night swiftly thwarted Pakistan's fresh attempts to strike military sites with drones and missiles including in Jammu and Pathankot after foiling similar bids at 15 places in northern and western regions of the country, as tensions soared between the two countries amid fears of a wider conflict.The renewed attempts and intense shelling by the Pakistani forces on the Line of Control(LoC) and the International Border(IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan came after India on Thursday morning targeted Pakistani air defence systems at multiple cities with one in Lahore being "neutralised".

Doval tells global NSAs India won’t escalate but ready to retaliate if provoked
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday briefed his counterparts in the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and other key countries on India’s measured and non-escalatory missile strikes under Operation Sindoor, stating that while India has no intention to escalate tensions, it is fully prepared to retaliate if Pakistan chooses to respond.

TRF Head Sheikh Sajjad Gul Identified as Mastermind Behind Pahalgam Terror Attack
Sheikh Sajjad Gul, a 50-year-old Kashmiri and leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba's proxy, The Resistance Front (TRF), has been identified as the mastermind behind the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists. Gul, based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, has been linked to several terror activities, including grenade attacks and targeted killings in Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had designated him a terrorist in 2022 and issued a reward of Rs 10 lakh for his capture. The TRF claimed responsibility for the attack, where 25 tourists were killed at point-blank range. Gul has a history of involvement in terrorism, including prior convictions in India before relocating to Pakistan.
