Held across 1,052 centres in 301 cities, the NEET-PG exam saw tight security, cyber monitoring, and real-time surveillance to prevent malpractice

Hyderabad: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the NEET PG 2025 on Sunday, with over 2.4 lakh candidates appearing for the test. Held in a single shift, the computer-based exam was administered across 1,052 centres in 301 cities.

According to the board’s press release, this marks the largest computer-based examination in India to be conducted in a single shift in terms of candidate volume. The board had deployed over 2,200 faculty members from medical colleges and accredited hospitals to oversee the process and enforce a zero-tolerance policy on unfair practices.

Speaking about the exam, Dr Sai Dinesh Reddy, a PG aspirant from Karimnagar, said: "The exam was easy, as most of the questions were expected. Nothing was out of the syllabus. The topic-wise distribution was also equal. However, many questions explored the treatment and diagnosis of TB and HIV. I am overall happy with my performance and look forward to the result.”

Other students shared that the exam was moderately tough.

As per its release, the NBEMS had deployed more than 200 personnel at its office to continuously monitor the live CCTV footage being received from all test centres in real time.
