Modi Forms Exam Reforms Task Force, Nilekani to Lead
Prime Minister said the panel will focus on strengthening and modernising the examination system in the country. The move comes amid growing concerns over exam integrity and the need for systemic reforms.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced the constitution of a high-powered task force to reform examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The multidisciplinary panel will focus on revamping the examination system, particularly from a technology perspective, while also suggesting structural reforms to improve transparency and efficiency.
The task force includes Nandan Nilekani, former ISRO chairman S. Somanath, former IB director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras director V. Kamakoti, former education secretary Anita Karwal and logistics expert Amrit Lal Meena.
The move comes amid growing concerns over the integrity of national-level examinations, with the government aiming to strengthen systems and restore confidence among students.
