Nabarangpur Named Odisha’s Best District Under Mukhyamantri Shiksha Puraskar
The awards will be presented by the Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at a state-level ceremony at the State Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, on September 5, marking Teachers’ Day.
Nabarangpur (Odisha): Nabarangpur has been adjudged Odisha’s best-performing district under the Mukhyamantri Shiksha Puraskar (MSP), securing the first position in the prestigious state-level school education awards.
In another significant recognition, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu has been selected for the Best District Education Officer Award under the same programme. Collector and District Magistrate Dr Maheswar Swain will also be felicitated for his significant contribution, sustained efforts, leadership and guidance in strengthening the education sector in the district.

The honours recognise Nabarangpur’s sustained efforts to improve the quality of school education, learning outcomes and the overall learning environment for students and teachers.
The district has undertaken a range of initiatives focused on strengthening school infrastructure, improving student attendance and learning outcomes, and enabling teachers to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.
The achievement has also been attributed to coordinated efforts by the district administration, Education Department and other stakeholder departments to expand educational opportunities and improve outcomes across the district.
Officials credited the collective contribution of teachers, Education department personnel, School Management Committees, students, parents and other stakeholders for the achievement.
The district administration particularly acknowledged the leadership of Dr Swain, whose guidance, encouragement and continued support provided impetus to several initiatives aimed at improving the education ecosystem.
The administration also recognised the contribution of District Level Officers and various departments in facilitating education-related programmes and creating a supportive environment for the sector.
The twin recognition of Nabarangpur as the best district and Sahu as the Best District Education Officer has brought pride to the district and is expected to provide fresh momentum to efforts to improve school education and promote the holistic development of students.
