BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that the Union budget has laid special focus on the poor, youth, farmers and women, embodying the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
Describing the budget a step towards achieving the goal of a developed India, he said that the budget proposals will further accelerate development and play an important role in positioning the Indian economy at a higher level in the global economy.
In his reaction to the budget, he said that the provisions for the development of cities with a population of more than five lakh, spending Rs 5,000 crore over five years on all urban economic zones, developing pilgrimage sites in smaller cities, constructing one women’s hostel in every district, and upgrading district hospitals will greatly benefit the state.
He said that emphasis has been laid on reforms in the textile sector in the Union budget, which will also benefit Madhya Pradesh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given Madhya Pradesh a major boost in the textile sector in the form of a PM MITRA Park, he said, adding that this will create employment opportunities for three lakh people and benefit six lakh farmers.
