MP: Mohan to hold cabinet meeting at Holkar Palace
Rajwada, 3rd council of ministers meeting in historical site

Bhopal, Apr 30: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav is going to hold the upcoming meeting of his cabinet at the royal palace of the erstwhile ruling Holkar dynasty in Rajwada in Indore in the state, on May 20.
This was declared by him on Wednesday.
This would be the third historical site, chosen by Mr. Yadav to hold his cabinet meeting outside Bhopal.
The motive behind the initiative taken by the chief minister to hold his cabinet meetings at chosen historical sites is to showcase them as prime tourist destinations, officials said.
The first historical site in the state where Mr. Yadav had held his cabinet meeting after assuming office 15 months ago was at Singrampur, the erstwhile capital of Rani Durgavati, in Damoh district on October five, 2024.
He along with his ministerial colleagues had then climbed a hill to reach the fort built by Rani Durgavati in Singrampur where they paid floral tribute to the statue of the queen, known for her valour.
The second historical site chosen by him to hold his cabinet meeting was in Maheshwar, the erstwhile capital of Ahalyabai Holkar, in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district on January 24 this year on the occasion of the queen’s 300th birth anniversary.
The meeting was held in the Heritage Bhavan, a sprawling bungalow situated right on the bank of Narmada.
Rajwada will be the third historical site Mr. Yadav is going to hold his cabinet meeting on May 20.
Known as Holkar Palace, Rajwada is a historic seven-story palace in Indore.
It was built by Holkars of the Maratha Empire around 1766 AD.
The palace is a popular tourist attraction and features a museum showcasing the history of the Holkar dynasty.
