MP: Mohan Holds First E-Cabinet Meeting, Declares 2026, “Year Of Agriculture’
Tablets were distributed to all the ministers to facilitate the e- cabinet meeting.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday held the first e-cabinet meeting here to make it a paperless exercise.
Tablets were distributed to all the ministers to facilitate the e- cabinet meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that complete information related to cabinet proceedings would now be available digitally.
He stated that the state is actively promoting e-governance under which an e-cabinet initiative has been launched.
Necessary training is being provided to concerned officials and ministers on the use of e-Cabinet Application.
He explained that the application is based on modern technology and paperless, secure and confidential, enabling members of the council of ministers to access it ‘anytime and anywhere’ at their convenience.
The application will primarily be viewing the cabinet agenda and tracking compliance reports of decisions taken in previous cabinet meetings.
He said that initially, the cabinet meeting agenda would be circulated both in physical and digital formats, but would later be shared entirely in digital form.
With the introduction of a paperless e-cabinet system, the physical distribution files will be eliminated, resulting in significant savings of paper and time.
Chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh government Anurag Jain informed that all cabinet decisions taken since 1960 have been digitized, and decisions from the past two years can now be accessed with a single click.
At the conclusion of the cabinet meeting, a presentation was made to familiarize the ministers with objectives, wide-ranging utility and basic operational aspects of the tablets and e-Cabinet Application.
Addressing the council of ministers before the meeting, Mr. Yadav announced that 2026 will be observed as the ‘Agriculture Year’, following 2025, which was marked as the ‘Industry and Employment Year’.
A special calendar covering farmer welfare, horticulture, food processing, cooperation, animal husbandry, dairy development, panchayat and rural development, revenue, energy and renewable energy will be released on January 11.
