MP: Congress Leader’s Son Held For Links to ‘Spurious Liquor’ Trader

Rathore employed artificial intelligence to brew the spurious liquor with use of some toxic chemicals: Police

BHOPAL: Son of a Congress leader in Madhya Pradesh was arrested on charges of supplying chemical ingredients to alleged manufacture of spurious liquor in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district., police said on Thursday.

Aman Kasliwal (27), an Indore-based businessman and son of Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson Anand Jain Kasliwal, was arrested for allegedly supplying a thinner, a chemical used in painting, to Ajey Rathore, who is accused of manufacturing and trading spurious liquor.

Congress had earlier alleged that several people died in the villages of Chandana and Binjana between September 27 and October due to consumption of spurious liquor.

According to the police, Rathore employed artificial intelligence to brew the spurious liquor with use of some toxic chemicals.

Rathore had allegedly mixed chemical-laden home-brewed alcohol with the genuine liquor and filled it into bottles sourced from scrap dealers and distributed in the rural areas, police said.

With this, as many as 11 people have so far been arrested in connection with the hooch deaths in Ujjain district.

Congress spokesman Anand Jain Kasliwala however denied his son’s link with the key accused.

He said that if a person takes goods from an establishment and misuses them, then how can a man be held responsible for the trader’s fault.

State minister Visvas Sarang however alleged that the Congress leader’s son was involved in the illicit liquor operations.

A police probe is underway into the reports of deaths of 13 over a period of fortnight in Dewas district
