MP: Caught on camera, teenaged student dies of cardiac arrest in coaching class

Bhopal, Jan 18: An 18-year-old student preparing for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination died of cardiac arrest while attending his coaching class in Indore in the state, police said on Thursday.

The CCTV camera installed in the coaching class captured the death of the student, identified as Raja Lodhi, in the class.

The incident happened late on Wednesday evening.

The footage of CCTV shows the teenaged student slowly bending his head and slumping on the desk when the class was in progress.

One of his classmates sitting beside him notices him resting his head on the desk and tries to wake him up, as the clip shows.

In the CCTV footage, Lodhi was then seen falling on the ground, leading to chaos in the class.

“Lodhi was rushed to a local private hospital where doctors declared him dead”, the investigating officer said.

Doctors suspected that the student may have died of cardiac arrest.

However, the cause of death could be ascertained after post-mortem, police said.

This was the third such incident in Indore in the last three months.

A painter, Ashish Singh (28), suddenly collapsed when he was working in a site in Indore a month ago.

He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.

He died of cardiac arrest.

On December 27 last year, an assistant sub-inspector of Madhya Pradesh police Praveen Bhuria suddenly fell ill after taking dinner and was rushed to the hospital.
