Modi To Visit Bihar On May 30
Mr Modi will lay the foundation stone of the four-lane access-controlled Patna – Arrah – Sasaram road developed in hybrid annuity mode at a total capital cost of ₹3,712.40 crores.

NEW DELHI: After "external enemies", Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now all set to take on the political rivals in poll-bound Bihar. The PM is expected to visit the NDA-ruled state on May 30 to lay the foundation stone, inaugurate various development projects and address a public meeting. Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi kicked off the Congress' Bihar campaign by addressing the students in the state on Thursday.
The May 30 visit to Sasaram in Rohtas district will be Mr Modi’s third visit to the state in the last four months. Earlier, Mr Modi had visited Madhubani on April 24, two days after the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed and earlier to Bhagalpur on February 24. During his visits ahead of the impending state polls, he unveiled projects worth several thousand crores. Bihar Assembly polls will be held in October-November.
The Sasaram visit will be the Prime Minister’s first visit after the success of Operation Sindoor, launched to destroy terror targets in Pakistan and POK. During the visit, he will lay the foundation stone for various development projects and inaugurate the new terminal of the Patna airport.

Despite the NDA government in Bihar, the ruling alliance not only performed poorly in the Lok Sabha polls last year but also lost key constituencies like Ara, Buxar and Karakat in the Bhojpur region. Which explains why both the BJP and the Congress are sparing no efforts in Bihar.
Mr Gandhi's address at Darbhanga's Ambedkar Hostel on Thursday is a case in point. In the bid to woo the students in favour of the Congress ahead of the impending Assembly polls, the LoP asserted that his party will continue its fight till reservation is extended to private educational institutions.
"We told Mr Modi you shall touch the Constitution with your head and he ended up doing so. We had also told him you will have to hold a caste census. On both occasions, Mr Modi acceded to the demands out of fear of a backlash from you people," Mr Gandhi claimed.
As he was stopped by state police on his way to the hostel, the former Congress president said, "Do you realise why the government in Bihar could not stop me? It was because I am propelled by the vast pool of energy that you embody. It is the same energy before which Mr Modi had to bow."
