Modi Government’s 12-year Journey Marked By Good Governance, Inclusive Development: Union Minister Meghwal
The Union minister said the government's focus on infrastructure development, social justice, technology-driven governance and economic reforms has laid the foundation for a developed India by 2047.

Bhubaneswar: Union law and justice minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday said the Narendra Modi-led government has transformed India over the last 12 years through decisive leadership, transparent governance and a strong commitment to the welfare of the poor, farmers, women and youth.
Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar, Meghwal highlighted a series of landmark initiatives undertaken by the Centre since 2014, stating that India has emerged as a more confident, self-reliant and globally respected nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He said flagship programmes such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Digital India have significantly improved the lives of millions of citizens across the country.
The Union minister said the government's focus on infrastructure development, social justice, technology-driven governance and economic reforms has laid the foundation for a developed India by 2047. He also highlighted India's growing international stature and its emergence as one of the world's fastest-growing major economies. According to Meghwal, the Centre remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in the queue.
Referring to Odisha, Meghwal said the state has witnessed accelerated development under the BJP government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and expressed confidence that the Centre and the state would work in close coordination to achieve the goals of Viksit Odisha and Viksit Bharat.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also addressed the media, said the BJP government's tenure in Odisha has been guided by the principles of transparency, accountability and people-centric governance. He noted that the government's vision is built on four pillars—livelihood and employment, infrastructure development, social security and welfare, and the preservation of Odia identity and cultural heritage.
Majhi said the state government is implementing a long-term roadmap through Odisha Vision 2036 and Vision 2047, with the objective of transforming Odisha into a prosperous and developed state. He asserted that the government is prioritising welfare measures for farmers, women, youth and the poor while simultaneously strengthening infrastructure, healthcare, education and industrial growth.
The leaders said the coming years would focus on accelerating growth, creating employment opportunities and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society.
