Modi Asks NDA MPs to Sharpen Outreach
PM wants MPs to get active on social media

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday advised National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs from Uttar Pradesh to work efficiently and ensure that their work reaches the public. He assured them of his full support, during their meeting held in the Prime Minister's chamber in Parliament.
Speaking to this newspaper, an NDA MP said that the Prime Minister talked about a range of issues and advised all the MPs present there to effectively communicate with the people and make them aware about the development work being done by the lawmakers.
Sources said that the Prime Minister also asked the MPs to get more active on social media for better public outreach. He assured the MPs of his full support. "The PM said he is standing with us and we must keep working," the NDA MP said.
During the meeting, Modi, according to sources, took a dig at the Congress and said it only maked promises and becomes active only when polls approach.
Expressing concern about the lack of adequate publicity about NDA government schemes among people, sources said that the Prime Minister noted that the government works continuously throughout the year, yet it does not effectively reach out to the people.
According to sources the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election was also discussed, though they did not divulge the details. In the 2024 general elections, the BJP-led NDA won 36 seats. When asked about any discussion about Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, an MP present in the meeting refused to comment.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister had hosted a dinner for the NDA MPs at his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
“Was a delight to have hosted NDA MPs for dinner at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg this evening. The NDA family represents a shared commitment to good governance, national development and regional aspirations. Together, we will continue working to strengthen our nation’s development journey in the years ahead," Modi posted on X after the dinner.
