Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao orders inquiry against DCO over graft charges

Nizamabad: Minister for agriculture and cooperation Tummala Nageshwar Rao ordered an inquiry against district cooperative officer Simhachalam, who was facing graft charges. Simhachalam had been working as a district cooperative officer (DCO) for around seven years and was accused of being involved in irregularities in Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) and dereliction.

The probe has been ordered following the complaints by PACS members and political leaders to the minister against the DCO over the alleged irregularities. The cooperative department immediately transferred Simhachalam from Nizamabad and attached him to the head office without giving any posting. Mr. Srinivas of Adilabad has been given incharge of the district cooperative officer for Nizamabad.
