Man Allegedly Murders Wife, Hides Body Under Cot Before Fleeing

Nabarangpur(Odisha): In a chilling case that has sent shockwaves through Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, a man allegedly murdered his wife and concealed her body inside a storage box beneath their bed before locking up the house and absconding.
The deceased was identified as Anita Sori, a resident of Haladi village under Chandahandi police limits. The accused, her husband Dushmant Nayak, is currently on the run.
According to police sources, the crime came to light after Anita’s family, concerned over her sudden disappearance, lodged a missing persons complaint at the Chandahandi police station. Acting on the complaint, a police team reached the couple’s residence and forcibly entered the locked house. To their horror, they discovered Anita's body hidden in a box under the bed.
