Mahadev Betting App Promoter’s Extradition Will Help Expose Beneficiaries Of His Gratification: Sai

Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday hailed the extradition of Mahadev betting App promoter Sourav Chandrakar from Oman to India and said that this will help unmask the beneficiaries of his gratification.
He said that the extradition of Chandrakar will bring to the fore the politicians, officers and others who received protection money to facilitate the operation of Rs 6,000 crore-illegal betting syndicate.
“The CBI had been making continuous efforts to extradite Sourav Chandrakar; the key accused in the Mahadev betting App case, so that information relating to the operation will be known. His questioning will reveal those who were receiving protection money from him”, Mr. Sai said.
Chandrakar, a native of Durg district in Chhattisgarh, had been running the online betting operation from Dubai.
Mr. Sai’s statement assumes significance considering that former chief minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel was among the accused named in the FIR registered by the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Chhattisgarh police, in the case.
Chandrakar was on Monday produced in a Delhi court by the CBI seeking his transit remand and will be brought to Raipur for his production in a special CBI court here.
