Laws Passed in Parliament Have To Be Followed By All States, Says Chhattisgarh CM
Responding to the purported statement on the Waqf Amendment Act by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Mr. Sai that the laws passed in the parliament are applicable to the whole country and have to be followed by the states.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday said the laws passed in the parliament have to be followed by all the states.
Responding to the purported statement on the Waqf Amendment Act by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Mr. Sai that the laws passed in the parliament are applicable to the whole country and have to be followed by the states.
In her purported statement on Wednesday, Ms. Banerjee said there will be no ‘divide and rule’ in the state under her watch.
She said the Muslim community is pained by the Waqf Amendment Act.
Ms. Banerjee however appealed to the Muslim community not to be swayed by any political provocation.
Her statement comes in the wake of violence in Murshidabad town in West Bengal over the Waqf Amendment Act.
