A video of a woman in Ladakh saying, “Gen Z, we won’t tolerate this nonsense,” has been making rounds on the internet since yesterday.
The incident reportedly took place at the Minimarg checkpoint in Kargil, Ladakh.
According to reports, the incident occurred on July 25, about a month ago, and the video went viral yesterday.
According to sources, the incident occurred when the movement of the Defence Minister and the Army Chief along the Zojila-Gumri route led to traffic restrictions in the area.
The Defence Minister and the Army Chief were scheduled to travel by air, but due to bad weather, they travelled by road from Gumri to Kargil.
As per standard procedures, traffic was halted to facilitate their movement, resulting in delays for tourists as well as local residents.
Following this, the woman was seen arguing with security personnel at the checkpoint and insisted that they were tourists, not Kashmiris, who, she claimed, are generally subjected to such restrictions.
The video, however, went viral yesterday, igniting a debate over tourist behaviour at border checkpoints.
The report further mentioned that after the VIP movement passed through the area, tourists were given clearance to proceed.
