Kishan Reddy: ₹31,000 Crore Spent On Telangana Highways Since 2014

During the first phase of Bharatmala Pariyojana, 1,719 km of national highways would be developed across Telangana with a budget of ₹38,297 crore Union minister G. Kishan Reddy announced.

HYDERABAD: State BJP chief and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given top priority to Telangana since it was formed as a separate state, allocating ₹31,000 crore to develop National Highways.

Kishan Reddy said that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was widening the road for the development of Telangana since 2014.

"Following the financial assistance by the BJP government at the Centre, at least 2,722 km of national highways have been constructed across Telangana. Another 2,526 km of state highways have been upgraded to national highways," Kishan Reddy said.

The minister also stated that during the first phase of Bharatmala Pariyojana, 1,719 km of national highways would be developed across Telangana with a budget of ₹38,297 crore.These projects will play a key role in providing better transportation to the people and aid in the state's economic progress and increase in employment opportunities.
