Kangana Ranaut Slams Youths For Not Knowing President's Name
Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut criticises viral video of youths unable to name India's President.

Actor and BJP Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut has stirred a fresh controversy by reacting sharply to a viral video showing a group of youngsters failing to name the current President of India, Droupadi Murmu. Sharing the clip on social media, Ranaut criticised the participants and referred to them as the "grasshopper brain cell generation."
The video, widely circulated online, features random young people being asked basic general knowledge questions, including the name of India’s President, which they fail to answer correctly. In her reaction, Ranaut expressed concern over the declining awareness among youth and questioned the education system and parenting standards that could lead to such ignorance.
“This generation knows every pop culture reference but cannot name their own President. This is not funny, this is tragic,” she wrote.
Her comment triggered mixed reactions on social media. While some users supported her call for greater civic awareness, others accused her of being overly harsh and out of touch with the realities of modern youth.
Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken views, is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh.
