Shoot reportedly halted In Jaisalmer: Reports
The Mumbai film industry is abuzz with reports that director Jasmeet K. Reen has walked out of the shooting of Netflix’s The Royals Season 2, bringing production to a temporary halt in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer.
According to reports, the cast and crew were shooting a major sequence at the luxury Suryagarh Hotel when alleged creative differences between Reen and producer Rangita Nandy led to the director’s sudden exit.
With Reen no longer on set, production has reportedly been stalled as Netflix and the producers work to address the situation.
The development comes days after lead actors Ishaan Khatter and Nora Fatehi shared updates on social media announcing the start of the Rajasthan schedule.
The Royals Season 2 had already undergone a significant creative overhaul, with the story reportedly shifting from its original romance-focused narrative towards a family drama. The changes also followed the exit of original lead Bhumi Pednekar and the addition of new cast members, including Gurfateh Pirzada and Sini Shetty.
