IndusInd Bank Makes Key Leadership Appointments

The Bank appointed Amitabh Kumar Singh as CHRO. Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, Singh spent two decades in senior leadership roles across the ICICI Group, including as CHRO at ICICI Home Finance, and held key roles at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and ICICI Bank.

Mumbai : IndusInd Bank on Tuesday announced key leadership appointments as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team including a chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), managing director and chief executive officer for its wholly owned subsidiary Bharat Financial Inclusion, a chief data officer and a new head of wholesale banking.

The Bank appointed Amitabh Kumar Singh as CHRO. Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, Singh spent two decades in senior leadership roles across the ICICI Group, including as CHRO at ICICI Home Finance, and held key roles at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and ICICI Bank. The Bank also announced appointing Tapobrat Chaudhuri as MD and CEO at Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd (BFIL). Chaudhuri’s key responsibilities include driving drive strategic priorities, including strengthening asset quality and collections, reducing delinquencies, optimizing costs, and enhancing synergies between IndusInd Bank and BFIL to further granularize the retail business while reinforcing compliance and governance frameworks. Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, he served as President & Business Head – Microfinance at Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Balaji Narayanamurthy has been appointed as Chief Data Officer. Before joining IndusInd Bank, he served as President & Head of the Business Intelligence Unit and later as Head of Enterprise AI at Axis Bank, where he built enterprise-wide data, analytics and AI systems spanning customer cross-sell, risk, and revenue optimization.

Seasoned banking leader Ganesh Sankaran has been appointed as head, Wholesale Banking Group. His responsibilities would be to develop Bank’s strategy and business in areas like Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking including public sector undertakings, government banking, gems & jewellery, SME & Mid-Market Group, New Age Economy, Real Estate, Corporate Agri Business, Supply Chain Finance, Transaction Banking and Project & Structured Finance. Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, Sankaran’s major banking career spanned across Axis Bank, Federal Bank and HDFC Bank.
