Foreign secretary Vikram Misri in a special media briefing announced that India had agreed to a ceasefire with Pakistan and the firing came into effect 5PM India time on May 10.
The announcement comes after the tensions escalated following terrorist attack in Pahalgam valley of Kashmir, where 26 civilians were gunned down.
