NTR Charitable Trust Sends Relief Materials to Assam Flood Victims

The Trust said the initiative received contributions from people in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Khammam and several other places, while supporters living abroad also participated in the relief drive

The Nandamuri Basava Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust has dispatched essential relief materials to people affected by the recent floods in Assam.
The Trust, which was established to mark the birth centenary of Nandamuri Basava Tarakam, the wife of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), said it launched the relief initiative in response to the widespread flooding that has affected thousands of people in the northeastern state.
According to the Trust, essential supplies were collected through a voluntary donation drive across the Telugu states and later handed over to the non-governmental organisation (NGO) The Embryos, which will distribute the materials among flood-affected families in Assam.

The relief consignment includes food items, clothing, drinking water and other daily essentials.

The Trust said the initiative received contributions from people in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Khammam and several other places, while supporters living abroad also participated in the relief drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Producer and Cinematographer for several films, Nandamuri Mohanakrishna said: “Our beloved NTR Garu always believed that ‘Society is our temple and people are our God.’ Inspired by his ideals, the Nandamuri BasavaRama Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust is committed to serving humanity. Through this initiative, we are standing in solidarity with the people of Assam who have suffered immense losses due to the floods. We are grateful to everyone who came forward to support this noble cause. This Trust has been established solely with the intention of serving society without expecting anything in return, and we will continue to carry forward the values and vision of our parents through many more service activities.”
The Trust stated that it will continue to undertake humanitarian and social service initiatives in the future. It also announced that details of contributors and future relief activities will be shared through its official Instagram page, Nandamuri BasavaRama Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust.
