VISAKHAPATNAM: TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s helicopter missed its flight path for a few seconds on Saturday while on way to Araku Valley from Visakhapatnam airport.
Air Traffic Control at INS Dega alerted the chopper’s pilot, who corrected his path and reached Araku Valley safely.
As per reports, communication between the pilot and ATC broke down when the helicopter had been passing through the hilly areas. The chopper pilot went astray for a few seconds as a result. However, once the communication got restored, the pilot corrected his path and reached Araku Valley safely.
Visakhapatnam Airport director Srinivas Reddy denied lack of communication between pilot and ATC. He maintained that the helicopter reached Araku Valley safely.
Naidu flew to Araku Valley for his Ra… Kadili Raa programme and addressed a public meeting.
