HYDERABAD: GHMC zonal commissioners of Khairatabad and Serilingampally met with builders, members of construction companies and tractor associations in the presence of police officials, and warned of stringent action in case debris is dumped in public places.
As part of the exercise against illegal dumping of construction and demolition (C&W) waste, the GHMC has decided to start surveillance at night when the practice mostly takes place. To dispose of debris, people should inform the GHMC using the toll-free number 18001201159 or raise a request through the MyGHMC mobile application.
The user charges are Rs 398.50 per tonne which includes collection, transportation and processing from the site to the recycling facility. If debris is transported to a recycling plant using own facility, the fee is `99.62 per tonne.
