Naidu Questions YSRC's Ability to Build Three Capitals

Tirupati: Former chief minister and Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday questioned the ability of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in building three new state capitals when his government has failed to complete the remaining 20 per cent construction of Kuruba Bhavan in Kuppam, 80 per cent of which had been completed during TD’s tenure.

Naidu made these remarks after unveiling a statue of Saint Kanakadas near the PES Medical College in Kuppam. He said inability of the current government to complete Kuruba Bhavan has caused a severe damage to the structure.

"How can Jagan promise three capitals when he cannot complete the remaining 20 per cent of this building in over four years," he asked.

Naidu assured Kurubas of representation in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board, higher education opportunities, allotment of vacant lands, and subsidized loans. He assured the recovery of lands illegally occupied by YSRC leaders.

The TD chief promised to make Kanakadas Jayanthi an official event of the government once Telugu Desam returns to power.

The former chief minister expressed solidarity with Anganwadi workers who have been on strike or the past 20 days. He condemned government's lack of response to their demands. He promised to include their issues in the TD manifesto.

Naidu questioned the ethics of the YSRC government, specifically in using the Chief Minister's photos on land passbooks. He asked people to question the government's right in taking such actions.
