BJP Intensifies Publicity Campaign on Central Government Schemes

Adilabad: The BJP as also the central government have intensified their publicity campaign on the Modi-led dispensation's welfare and development schemes in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Pradhan Mantri Employment scheme, the Ayushman Bharat upto an insurance of Rs 5 lakh, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Oushadhi scheme, the Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Pradhana Mantri Jeevan Jyoti are some of these schemes.

The BJP in Andhra Pradesh is focusing on this publicity and is confident of winning at least 8 assembly seats and performing well in 19 constituencies. It has four MLAs from the erstwhile Adilabad district.

Local BJP MPs and officials are launching this publicity drive at different levels. Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao launched the campaign at various places in Adilabad district.

Publicity vehicles decorated with various central government schemes are taking the rounds of villages and towns and distributing pamphlets about these schemes and the eligibility criteria. BJP leaders are also doing this and attempting enrollment of eligible candidates into these schemes. Local BJP MPs are participating in the campaign.

Central government schemes are being highlighted under the Viksit Bharat Yatra campaign across districts. BJP leaders and officials concerned departments are urging the eligible candidates to enroll their names into these schemes to enable them derive the benefits. Lead bank managers are coordinators for these schemes.

The Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana, the Ujwala Yojana for below-poverty-line families, the Sukanya Samrudi Yonja and the Atal Pension Yojana and many other schemes are being implemented by the central government.

A Selfie with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the special attraction in the campaign to attract the masses towards the central government schemes and make the people aware of how these schemes helped the poor.

The party has entrusted the responsibility of publicity for the central government schemes to five BJP leaders from each polling booth. The local BJP leaders are meeting the beneficiaries of these schemes.

However, BJP leaders found that many people do not have ration cards to apply for the schemes. Ration cards are mandatory to apply for these schemes.

BJP leader Ch. Suhasini Reddy who recently participated in the publicity campaign in Adilabad town complained that the previous BRS government failed to issue ration cards to the BPL families. “The KCR-led government did not include the newborns and families separated from the joint families and newly married couples, and they suffered due to lack of ration cards.”

Soyam Bapu Rao said a large number of people got the benefits of various central government schemes.
