Registrar of Coop Societies to be honoured

The programme will be organised at the Plaza Hotel beside the CM’s camp office in Begumpet from 3 pm

Hyderabad: Employees of the state cooperative department will organise a felicitation programme for senior bureaucrat and Registrar of Cooperative Societies M. Veerabrahmaiah on Monday.

He will be retiring from service on reaching superannuation. The programme will be organised at the Plaza Hotel beside the CM’s camp office in Begumpet from 3 pm.

Veerabrahmaiah, a native of Bhadradri district, began his career as a teacher in a government school and was selected in Group 1 services in 1990.

He was conferred the IAS. He served in various positions including as collector Vizianagaram and Karimnagar districts and GHMC additional commissioner.
Veerabrahmaiah won several awards for various initiatives including the successful implementation of rural employment guarantee scheme, the 20 point programme, the official language and organising blood donation camps.
