Board president Manish Upadhyay directed officials to explore the proposal.
Hyderabad: Pointing out that the SCB was losing revenue due to lack of a trade licence wing, elected representatives urged the board president to take steps to streamline the system. “In GHMC, every shop displays a copy of the certificate issued by the trade licence wing. The SCB does not follow such a practice,” vice-president J. Ramakrishna said.
CEO S.V.R. Chandrashekar said the Secunderabad Cantonment Board could earn up to Rs 10 crore a year if trade licences could be effectively handled. Board president Manish Upadhyay directed officials to explore the proposal.
