Bolaram hospital may go to Telangana

A proposal was approved to increase the salaries of doctors from Rs 24,000 to Rs 50,000.

Hyderabad: The effort to restore the Cantonment Hospital in Bolarum gained momentum with the Cantonment Board approving a proposal to hand over responsibility to the state government. Board CEO S.V.R. Chandrashekar said the hospital would be working for 24 hours in three shifts with full-fledged maternity and emergency services also.

Ward-8 member J. Loknatham said the hospital would prove help patients in Bolarum, Shamirpet, Kompally and nearby areas. Malkajgiri MP Ch. Malla Reddy said he would donate an ambulance worth Rs 20 lakh. A proposal was approved to increase the salaries of doctors from Rs 24,000 to Rs 50,000.
