Kochi: Two persons were killed when the car in which they were traveling lost control and overturned near the Asramam Junction in Perumbavoor on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Shikkar, 37, son of Neduveli Veetil Velayudhan of Manikamangalam in Thuravoor near Angamaly and Shyam Shoji, 24, son of Shoji, of Alappad Chemmani House in Thrissur. The mishap took place while the two were on their way to Munnar.
According to the police the reason for the accident is not known as it took place around 2.30 am on Sunday. The vehicle seems to have lost control and crashed into a compound wall before getting smashed into a nearby building. The car was shattered completely in the impact. The bodies of the two persons were handed over to the family members after completing post-mortem, the police said.
