Despite rain, the rally witnessed participants in huge numbers and supporters in thousands gathered at Freedom Park, where the seniors addressed the gathering supporting the cause and calling for immediate intervention by the governments to resolve the matter.

“We have gathered here supporting the cause of public and this is a serious matter, and not a mere road show of actors to draw crowd. Hope the representatives and governments concerned resolves the matter permanently providing drinking water,” said Shivarajkumar during the rally.

Several actors clad in black attire and some with black bands around their shoulders demanded that the Members of Parliament representing Karnataka should exert pressure the central government to act at the earliest.
