The incident came to light after passersby noticed blood stains in the auto and informed the police.

Bengaluru: A rowdy was brutally murdered by some miscreants in K.G. Halli police station limits on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Stephen, 28, a resident of Lingarajpura. The miscreants fled after bundling the body into an auto rickshaw.

The incident came to light after passersby noticed blood stains in the auto and informed the police.

The police said they are yet to ascertain why he was murdered, but suspect a rival gang may be behind the crime. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

Supari killers held
Doddaballapur police on Wednesday arrested six supari killers and recovered the car and weapons used by them.

The arrested have been identified as Srinivasmurthy, Venkatesh, Yogesh, Nagesh Kumar, Adarsh and Veerabhadra.

During the interrogation, the arrested admitted that they were provided supari to attack Nageshwar Rao, who runs a school.

Rao was earlier employed at RC International School at Thammenahalli. Later, he quit the job to set up his school HSNL at Hesaraghatta and Gouribidanur.

He then began persuading local residents to enroll their children in his school, instead of RC International. This upset the owner of RC International and he decided to eliminate Rao by giving supari.

On May 16 the accused waylaid Rao’s car at Doddabelavangala and assaulted him grievously.
