Bengaluru techie films traffic-violator riding on pavement, video goes viral

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru techie who witnessed a man riding a motorcycle on a pavement tried to film the entire act on camera but things took a wrong turn when the violator hit back at the techie.

In the video recorded by the techie, the accused is seen slapping the 26-year-old and even tries to hit him with a helmet.

Yet, the techie, Ankit Chowdhary managed to grab the footage and upload it on his Facebook page.

The assault took place on Monday near Koramangala in Bangalore.

"There are always some people who break the law and ride on footpaths and it's an inconvenience to pedestrians. So I duly take photos and report them --- hoping that it will slowly reduce. Today's guy was an exception as soon as I took the photo, he stopped his bike and rushed towards me to hit," Ankit wrote on his FB wall.

The video has gone viral on social media and has received a lot of comments with over 600 people sharing it.
