Telangana Rashtra Samithi hoodwinking people: Ponnam
Karimnagar: The Lok Sabha battle in Karimnagar is purely between local and non-local candidates said Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president and Congress nominated Karimnagar LS candidate Ponnam Prabhakar.
Speaking to the media in Karimnagar, Mr Prabhakar alleged that if the Congress wins 16 LS seats in the ensuing Parliament elections, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who has restricted himself to his farm house will start coming to the Secretariat to protect his chair.
If Mr Rao had responded to the Facebook post on the TRS losing three MLC seats in recently elections, one can imagine what will happen if he loses all the 16 LS seats, he added.
Mr Prabhakar criticised the TRS leaders for deceiving the people with their mesmerising words during their campaigns. “They are trying to convince the voters by informing them that Mr Vinod Kumar will become a Union minister if he is elected. The TRS leaders must answer the people from which party will Mr Vinod become Union minister,” he questioned.
The TRS is playing politics in the name of caste and community and is trying to lure voters by distributing money, which is in violation of the Model Code of Conduct issued by Election Commission, added Mr Prabhakar.
KTR’s road show in Karimnagar and KCR’s meeting organised at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad proved to be disasters for the TRS party with little response from the people. Both KCR and KTR realised that Karimnagar people are going to reject the TRS party that is why they are paying regular visits to Karimnagar and conducting meetings and road shows in Karimnagar,” he added. Mr Prabhakar said that the people of Karimnagar are wise and they have already decided whom to cast their vote to.
Mr Prabhakar said, “The results of the LS polls will give a major shock to TRS and TRS leaders to be prepared.
