Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and other authorities to accept applications of candidates with postgraduation of physical education
for the ongoing recruitment to the posts of physical directors in junior
colleges.
The bench comprising Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice N.Tukaramji were dealing with a writ petition filed by one Ram Naresh and 191 others and two other writ petitions stating that the TSPSC notification issued on December 28 was arbitrary and without the authority of law.
Senior counsel point out that the prescription of two post graduate degrees in
physical education and another in any science, arts or commerce is discriminatory and hostile to the petitioners and was without jurisdiction. Since the last date for receipt of applications was January 23, the bench directed that applications may be received over the next seven days.
The bench also made clear that if there were any technical glitches in submission of applications, the commission should entertain physical handing over of the application.
