CM Pinarayi Vijayan to be interviewed at Kerala Literature Festival
KOZHIKODE: The highlight of this year's Kerala Literature Festival opening here on Thursday is an interview with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by author M. Mukundan. More than 3,000 writers from around the world will attend the second edition on the main beach. The festival organised by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation in collaboration with Kerala State Cultural Department, Kerala Tourism and District Tourism Promotion Council, debuted last year with over 160 authors and an attendance of over a lakh literary enthusiasts.
Poet K. Satchidanandan and mayor Thottathil Raveendran will spearhead the event this time. The opening day will witness a session between Sashi Kumar and Padma Vibhushan Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Luminaries like Ramachandra Guha, Shashi Tharoor, Sudhir Kakar and Kanhaiya Kumar are few of the attendees from India. Qaisra Shahraz (Pakistan), Evald Flisar (Slovenia), Ari Sitas (SouthAfrica) and Runo Isaksen (Norway) will also be part of the festival.
