Chennai: A defamation petition has been filed before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, at Allikulam, against animal rights activist Radha Rajan for allegedly making derogatory statements against women during the recent jallikattu agitation.
The Women Lawyers’ Association filed the petition before CMM J. Chandran Monday. The association stated that referring to jallikattu protests on Marina beach, Radha Rajan made remarks stating that the youth who gathered at Marina will also do so if free sex was offered.
The association stated that Radha Rajan degraded modesty and chastity of women in the state. The agitation was conducted in a peaceful manner, it said.
