Indian Coast Guard organises bike rally in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: The Indian Coast Guard district headquarters organised a bike rally on Saturday as part of the ‘Coast Guard Week Celebrations-2024’. The event was a prelude to the grand commemoration of the 48th ICG Raising Day, which is scheduled for February 1, 2024.

The rally was flagged off by Deputy Inspector General Vinod Kumar Parmar from the district headquarters No. 6 in Andhra Pradesh and featured approximately 90 enthusiastic bikers. The convoy embarked on a 45-kilometre journey, starting from the district headquarters and traversing the city until RK Beach, and then returning to the headquarters.

Throughout the rally, the bikers displayed banners, embodying the spirit of unity and marking the upcoming celebration of the 48th ICG Raising Day. Emphasising the significance of the occasion, the rally also served as a platform to advocate for road safety measures and highlighted the imperative to fortify coastal security. The participants promoted the safety of life and property at sea while reinforcing the Indian Coast Guard's pivotal role in safeguarding the nation's maritime interests.
