Hyderabadi SUO NCC cadet returns from Bhutan exchange programme, felicitated

Hyderabad: Senior Under Officer (SUO) Mohammed Jawed of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), recently returned from a week-long youth exchange programme at Bhutan.

Jawed, an undergraduate student of Indian Institute of Management and Commerce of 3 Telangana Battalion of Hyderabad Group, was the only cadet selected from the Telugu states was among the 12 Indian cadets for the programme

NCC Director-General Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh was also a part of this programme. Col Anil, Group Commander, Hyderabad, felicitated Jawed on his return.

The youth exchange programme facilitated interactions with Bhutanese youth, creating a platform for cross-cultural dialogue and friendship.

One of the highlights of the programme was the collaborative community service projects undertaken by the NCC cadets alongside their Bhutanese counterparts. SUO Jawed participated in initiatives aimed at community development, environmental conservation, and social welfare. This hands-on experience allowed him to witness the positive impact that collective efforts can have on local communities and reinforced the values of service and responsibility.

The immersive exchange included visits to historical sites, traditional festivals, and interactions with local communities. He had the opportunity to witness the Bhutanese way of life, gaining a deeper understanding of the country's customs, traditions, and values. This exposure not only broadened his cultural perspective but also fostered a sense of global citizenship, according to an official statement.
