Optimise resources, IAF chief Arup Raha tells commanders

The CAS also interacted with the personnel of Southern Air Command during various events conducted during his visit.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of the Air Staff arrived here for a two-day official visit on Monday. During his two-day visit, the Air Chief presided over the Commanders’ Conclave of Station Commanders of all the Air Force units in the Southern region. The CAS during his interaction with the Command Staff and Station Commanders stressed on overcoming various challenges faced by the Indian Air Force while undergoing capability enhancement with modernisation and new acquisitions.

While complimenting the Air Warriors of SAC on their diligence, he exhorted the personnel to be good professionals and operationalise the new equipment in a systematic manner. He also laid stress on strengthening base security to preserve the expensive assets of IAF, both equipment and human. While addressing the Station Commanders, he emphasised on the optimization of resources and operational capability.

The Air Chief Marshal also stressed the need to focus on Key Result Areas and training and professional competency to achieve high levels of aerospace safety. The CAS also interacted with the personnel of Southern Air Command during various events conducted during his visit. The Chairman COSC and Chief of the Air Staff were presented with a guard of honour by the contingent of Air Warriors. He was accompanied by Mrs. Lily Raha, president Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA).
