Based on a complaint, a case was booked against the auto driver under section 304A (death by negligence) of IPC.
The police have also arrested the driver, Rasool Raja, 42 and son of Noor Muhammed of Kovilpatti, of the cement-laden lorry that caused the accident.
Hyderabad: A B Tech final year student was killed and his friend seriously injured in a road mishap on Saturday in Suryapet. The deceased was identified as Laxminarayana, 23, a fourth year engineering student of St. Mary’s engineering college. “On Saturday evening, around 6:30pm, as he was going home with his friend on a bike, an auto rickshaw dashed them from the rear, killing him on the spot and injuring his friend,” said the police. The friend was rushed to a nearby hospital. Based on a complaint, a case was booked against the auto driver under section 304A (death by negligence) of IPC.
