Centre lauds specialist doctor services in AP

Vijayawada: Central health and family welfare department director Harsh Mangla lauded the AP government for providing specialist doctor services even in remote villages in the state.
Taking part in a voluntary blood donation camp held as part of the Ayushman Bhava programme at KL University in Guntur district on Friday, the director stated that though both the Centre and several state governments were providing free healthcare services even in remote villages, AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was providing specialist doctors’ services in remote villages and felt the need to appreciate it.
He said that under the Ayushman Bhava programme, country-wide, scheduled to be held from September 23 to October 2, they were organising blood donation camps as part of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ programme from September 17 onwards.
AP health commissioner J. Nivas said that AP stood in second place in organ donation at the national level, and as part of Ayushman Bhava initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they were taking up health camps in villages and hospitals, blood donation camps, organ donation pledges, and drives. He called upon the people to come forward for the donation of organs and also felt the need to donate blood.
