KUDA seeks NRIs' contribution to make Warangal a world-class city

WARANGAL: Chairman of Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) S. Sundar Raj appealed to the NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) belonging to Warangal district and living in the USA to extend their cooperation in transforming the Warangal into a world-class city by taking part in the developmental activities.

Sundar Raj attended as the chief guest of an NRIs’ meeting organised by P. Ravi and D. Ramana in Washington DC of USA on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, Sundar Raj said that Warangal City was best suitable for the establishment of IT, Pharma and Textile industries. Already five international and national IT companies have established their offices in Warangal and started their operations by providing employment to the local youth.

Noting that the biggest textile park in the country was established in Warangal city under the BRS rule, he said the Telangana government was providing special subsidies to industrialists and entrepreneurs. He appealed to the NRIs to do their bit in bringing IT, Pharma and other companies to their native Warangal district, contributing to the development of the city.

NRIs Ravi and Ramana said that they were going to form a Warangal NRI Association with all NRIs who came from Warangal and were living in America and promised to take the initiative for bringing companies to their home city.

The former vice-chancellor of Kakatiya University Prof. Gopal Reddy, vice-chancellor of Chaitanya Deemed University Prof. Damodar, Sudheer, Srinivas, Bhuvan and around 50 NRIs were present at the programme.
