Buggana inaugurates KIA's Knowledge Excellence Centre

Kurnool: The KIA Knowledge Excellence Centre was inaugurated by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath at the ITI College premises in Dhone town on Monday.

Additionally, the labs at the Centre of Excellence, equipped with advanced technical facilities worth Rs 2 crore, were also inaugurated.

The minister visited the automobile, mechanical, welding, computer, electrical, civil, CNC, and Daikin labs housed in the newly constructed building.

The Centre of Excellence has been established to provide training in ten courses to hundreds of young individuals, utilizing state-of-the-art technical facilities.

Rajendranath mentioned that the Centre of Excellence currently offers training in eight courses spanning two years, with 484 youngsters already undergoing training. He emphasized that affiliated courses have been given priority by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Highlighting the government's special focus on the development of the backward Rayalaseema region, the minister explained that the Centre of Excellence would create employment opportunities and provide training in various fields such as electrician, wiremen, fitter, turner, machinist, electronic mechanic, Draftsman civil, mechanical, motor vehicle, mechanic diesel, and welder.

The signing of memorandums of understanding took place on the stage with APSSDC MD Vinod Kumar, director of employment and training department Navya and Kia chief administrative officer Kab Dong Lee exchanging the documents in the presence of the finance minister.

The finance minister further mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh government has collaborated with Kia Industries to provide training to the youth. He also said a hostel facility, costing Rs 5.5 crore, is being arranged to accommodate 300 trainees.

Reflecting on the development of the Dhone constituency, Rajendranath Reddy highlighted the establishment of various infrastructure facilities such as a veterinary polytechnic college, IDTR (Integrated Driving Training Research Institute), integrated terminal market, special college for women, horticulture unit, BC residential school college (for boys), polytechnic college, and water grid project. He emphasized that skill education is instrumental in overcoming backwardness.

The inauguration of the KIA Knowledge Excellence Centre marks a significant step towards providing skill training and employment opportunities to the youth, while also contributing to the overall development of the region.

District collector Manazir Samoon, APSSDC MD Vinod Kumar, employment and training department director Navya, KIA chief administrative officer Kab Dong Lee, state meat development corporation chairman Sriramulu, SEEDAP CEO Srinivasulu, municipal chairman S Rajesh, Dhone MPP Rajasekhar Reddy, vice-chairmen K Harikishan, ZPTC member Rajakumar and others participated in the event.
